Canada's second largest tree || the story of big lonely Doug (Vancouver island)

Описание к видео Canada's second largest tree || the story of big lonely Doug (Vancouver island)

Today we check oot Canada's second largest tree (Big lonely Doug). A massive Douglas fir tree that was saved back in 2011 by a fella named Dennis Cronin who happened to be a logger and probably chopped down several thousand trees before saving what is now Canada's second largest tree a towering 70 meters high and 4 meters wide this big burly bastard is quite the thing to stand under. It is rather disappointing that BC only has 10 percent of its old growth forests left sure money is great and all but sometimes we have to look at the big picture and focus making that money elsewhere like eco tourism.
