Formed in Calgary, Alberta by Colin “Steamboat” Bloudoff, STREETSCAPE was a pioneering Canadian group instrumental in introducing Popping, Boogaloo and Funk Styles to Canada between 1982-1985. Streetscape quickly grew from local and regional success to become the foremost street dance troupe of its kind to be exposed coast to coast on a national platform. Known for a combination of funk styles, upbeat presentation, and tight precision, Streetscape co-created and starred in Canada’s premiere street dance theater production “Taking It To The Streets”, revolutionized how corporate fashion shows were presented, and were featured on numerous award shows, commercials, TV specials and more.

Founding members were: Colin “Steamboat” Bloudoff, Wayne “The Saint” Headley, Paul “Ripple” Lewis, and Bradley “Breakin’ Brad” Rapier. When not moving together as a synchronized unit, Colin was most known for his locking and footwork, Wayne for his popping, Paul for his waves and floats, and Bradley was the breaker.

This promo video was produced by Sun Ice, one of Canada’s largest and most iconic clothing lines). In 1983 Sun Ice enlisted Streetscape for an extensive national marketing and promotional campaign. Erin O’Connor, the female jazz dancer seen in this video, joined the troupe for a season of these promotional performances.
