Leslie Dancey is a powerful singer, songwriter, musician and actress gifted with the ability to connect with audiences through expressive and profound lyrics and melodies. The versatility of her music includes elements of rock, pop, blues, folk and country – yet, all of these labels cannot define the spirit of her music. Leslie’s debut EP album of songs she wrote, Story to Tell, found her working in world renowned studios including the legendary Armory Studios in Vancouver with the all-star production of GRAMMY AWARD WINNER Dave Collins (Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, D’Angelo...), Delwn Brooks (AC/DC, KD Lang, Bon Jovi...), Greg Reely (Coldplay), Joe Cruz (Karly Rae Jepsen, Ron Sexsmith...), Martin Acosta (Disney...) and alongside multiple GRAMMY and JUNO Award winning and nominated artists including GRAMMY nominee Paul Rigby (Neko Case, Jakob Dylan), 7 time JUNO Award Winner Steve Dawson, JUNO award winner Geoff Hicks (Colin James, Jim Byrnes), JUNO award nominee Camille Henderson (Sarah McLachlan, Aerosmith, Jann Arden, The West End Girls...), JUNO nominee Rob Becker (The High Bar Gang, The Sojourners...) and JUNO nominee Raphael Geronimo.

Leslie’s experiences working with an ACADEMY AWARD nominated director and her ongoing acting training at the legendary GROUNDLINGS IMPROV THEATRE in Los Angeles, seamlessly combine themselves with her vocal and musical talents allowing her to engage audiences with a very unique and commanding stage presence. Having played shows in Canada, the USA and the United Kingdom, Leslie is no stranger to performing and most recently finds herself garnering rave reviews for her vocals, musical ability and unique performance personality while sharing the stage with an all-star band consisting of Mike Murphy (lead guitar player for GRAMMY AWARD WINNER Freddy Fender, Reba MaEntire, Anne Murray...), Shaun Dancey (9 time SCMA bass player of the year award winner), Guy Perrin (Juno, CCMA and SCMA award showcase performer) and Brad Zimmer (internationally and nationally touring drummer). Living freely in the moment, Leslie continually connects with audiences in a captivating way that invites them to intimately share in her unique journey.
