Shikamaru always analyzes and figures things out from the sidelines while Sasuke mainly does so while fighting. It was arguable before but the Amado meeting made it definitive that Sasuke is smarter.

Isshiki gave Sasuke the greatest praise of intelligence in the series. Ontop of being able to see through and predict movements, discern the truth behind any jutsu. Whether it's Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, or Taijutsu, in addition to perfectly copying it just from seeing it once, the Sharingan is even able to see on a molecular level.
