Out There, The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Описание к видео Out There, The Hunchback of Notre Dame

"Out There," from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, with music and lyrics by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz. Definitely a much beloved song.

Originally when I thought of doing this song, I thought of just doing it without the Frollo part, and just starting where Quazi sings solo. But the Frollo part just adds. Well, all of the context and reason why the song means so much and is so Beautiful.

So. I've got myself singing the Frollo part, and then I've got my Quazi-self showing taking the headphone out. Which was intentional - I was thinking about how Satan is incredibly good at his job of making me feel awful about myself. That, and often it is myself who is my own worst critic. The thoughts Satan/others put in my head, and the thoughts I have about myself. And while there is always something that I can work on to improve myself, I need to be kinder to myself, give myself credit where credit is due. Life is an overall upwards direction, even if there are pitfalls along the way. Surround myself with good friends and with center myself in Christ, cut myself some slack and live life to the fullest, even if I feel a little awkward in the moment.

I wasn't planning on doing a song today at all, but I really Felt like I needed to. I hope this helps someone out there today. If nothing else, it's been a good reminder for me.
