This 33,000 ton, 240 car train from Paraburdoo Mine is crossing the Tom Price-Paraburdoo Rd at Tom Price with bankers attached. After 100 kms of solid uphill taking around three hours, this dip only a few kms long is the only downhill section between the mine and Wombat, the highest point on the line. Even running downhill, the bankers remain in full power but the head end locos would've been in full dynamic, keeping the train bunched staying under the speed limit of 70 km/h. As they crossed this bridge and started on the last uphill section, they would've gone back into full power, stretching the train out (forward of the node) to the top where the bankers will detach on the run leaving the train to continue the remaining 280 kms with head-end power only. The truck you see passing has a trailer specially made for transporting the tyres of giant sized mining trucks. As it's empty, it's likely that it's just delivered tyres to Tom Price mine and is returning to Perth.
