Sailing the Aeolian Islands - Sicily, Italy

Rarely do trips make life changing impacts like this one did. Sailing through the Aeolian Islands, off the coast of Sicily aka Sicilia was one of the best trips we've ever taken.

The Aeolian islands consist of 7 islands, Vulcano, Lipari, Salina, Stromboli (an active volcano), Panarea, Anacudi, and Filicudi. During our time there we visited 5 of the 7 islands on a 52 foot sailboat named "Puccini". Our trip was organized through Yachts and Friends and we would highly recommend them as everything went off flawlessly, additionally, we loved our Captain and Chef and keep in touch with them as now they are part of our family. During the 10 days while touring the aeolian islands in Italy, we snorkeled, swam, danced, and ate some amazing food. Exploring these islands was something everyone should do in their lifetime.

We flew into Catania airport and took a quick 2 hour drive past Taormina to start our own personal yacht week. Another option is flying into Palermo, then driving to Portorosa from there.
