The History of Motorcycles | Part 1 | This is how it all began

Just as the automobile was the answer to the 19th-century dream of self-propelling the horse-drawn carriage, the invention of the motorcycle created the self-propelled bicycle. It employed a horizontal single-cylinder gasoline engine mounted between two steerable front wheels and connected by a drive chain to the rear wheel.

Thanks to motorcycles, human beings have developed personal relationships with sculptures of metal, giving machines human characteristics, personalities, and cultures of their own - motorcycles, at least our perceptions of them, have become human; full of emotion, flaws, and spirit.
