The Oklahoma Water Resources Center (http://water.okstate.edu), housed at Oklahoma State University within the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, is the center of water-related research, Extension, and education activities in Oklahoma. The Water Center is comprised of more than 80 experts covering a range of water topics.

One of the Water Center’s missions is to extend knowledge and sound management practices from our researchers to improve the quality of life of Oklahoma’s citizens and other stakeholders.

This video series will introduce foundational terminology and concepts related to hydrology and water quality. The first three sets of videos in the series include the following:

• Introductions to the Oklahoma Water Resources Center and the new interim director, who discusses surface water and groundwater--by Garey Fox, professor and Buchanan endowed chair, and interim director of the Oklahoma Water Resources Center.

• Crop irrigation methods (flood irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, and localized (drip) irrigation) –by Saleh Taghvaeian, irrigation extension specialist.

• Irrigation in the home landscape—by Justin Moss, associate professor and Huffine endowed professor.
