Synopsis :
Mr. Bechara (1996) is a romantic drama directed by K. Bhagyaraj, starring Anil Kapoor as Anand Verma, Sridevi as Asha / Anita, Nagarjuna Akkineni as Ajay (Special Appearance), Heera Rajgopal as Mrs. Asha Verma, Shakti Kapoor as Mr. Natwarlal 'Romeo', Tiku Talsania as Inspector V.P. Chaturvedi, Avtar Gill as Police Superintendent, Mahavir Shah as Anita's Brother, Shammi as Caretaker, Pallavi as Pallavi, and Baby Vandana as Baby Vandana.

The plot revolves around Anand Verma, a widower and father of a child, who admits a woman with amnesia into the hospital. The doctor asks him to look after her while she recovers, giving her the name Asha, the name of Anand's late wife. The doctor convinces Asha that she is Anand's wife with a child. Anand, wanting to help her regain her memory, goes along with the plan. However, complications arise as Asha starts to fall in love with Anand, thinking he is her husband.

It's a heartwarming story about love, deception, and the complexities of relationships.
