Cosmic Cyclone (Extreme Demon) by APTeam | Geometry Dash

The grind continues. School has been ramping up again so it might slow down but only time will tell.

I'm really glad I enjoyed this level. It was very difficult for me to learn and I thought it was going to be very rough for me because of it. The first wave in particular had some of the most satisfying and fun wave gameplay I've played in a very long time. The cubes also require legitimate thought to pass which was a nice change from Sonic Wave.

There were some awkward bits, though. The ball and the entire second wave are the reasons why this isn't one of my new favorite extremes. The ball felt extremely janky and every death there felt like it wasn't my fault, and the second wave just had an incredibly strange click pattern that I never got used to. I got VERY lucky only dying to the second half once. Even though I fluked it, the last wave is also a pretty bad chokepoint, especially the two clicks at 89% which felt like a genuine dice roll sometimes.

This level is an amazing sequel to Sonic Wave. It follows the same sequence of gamemodes and even speed changes which makes it fit in very well. I feel like a lot of people don't know this, but this level is very old despite it releasing just a couple of years ago. It was started all the way back in 2017 and was deemed the official sequel, which I'm really happy about because this level does Sonic Wave great justice as a successor.
