Grindelwald Travel Guide, Switzerland

Grindelwald with a population of 4050 is a summer and winter resort. It is situated in Bernese Oberland (Berner Oberland) in Switzerland. High mountains like Eiger (with the famous Eiger-Nordwand) and Wetterhorn surround the town. It is a tourist destination with many hotels. Grindelwald cen be reached by train from Interlaken Ost. The railway station of Grindelwald is at a elevation of 1034 m. From here you can travel to Kleine Scheidegg and Jungfraujoch. The Pfingstegg gondola (Pfingsteggbahn) brings you to Alp Pfingstegg with a wonderfull view.
