Описание к видео Astrological Necromancy & Fatalism - Why Medieval Italian Scholar Cecco d'Ascoli was Burned Alive

On September 26, 1327 Italian astrologer Cecco d'Ascoli was burned alive outside Florence as a relapsed heretic - but what exactly was his crime? By diving into his commentary on the famous De Sphaera Mundi we begin to learn: he seems to have publicly taught astrological fatalism and astral necromancy. In this episode, we'll explore the world of heretical medieval astrological and how that astrology could be used to summon demons through rings and mirrors. Here we find some of the earliest accounts of demonic beings like Floron and Paimon, who would go on to fame in the Goetia of the Lesser Key of Solomon.
