Few suggestions:

1. Morning and Evenings are the best. But I prefer morning safari.
2. On the spot safari ride booking can save your money.
3. Stay cost (private property) is somewhere between 10,000 to 30,000 per night in Velavadar. I stayed in Safari Lodge.
4. Avoid going on Public holidays/weekend.
