Voices of leishmaniasis: Shishu from India

Описание к видео Voices of leishmaniasis: Shishu from India

In India, ASHA health workers like Shishu are the link between the villagers and the health system: they educate people about kala-azar, motivate and accompany those with symptoms to go get tested and treated at the primary health centres. 'Kala-azar can be eliminated with everyone's support,' hopes Shishu. DNDi is working to develop an oral treatment to ensure sustainable elimination of this neglected disease.

Shishu shares the same hope as Juliana (Colombia) and Luke (Kenya), watch more: https://bit.ly/hopeforleish

Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) is a collaborative, patients' needs-driven, non-profit drug research and development (R&D) organization that is developing new treatments for neglected diseases. https://dndi.org
