The Windjammer Parade is a highlight of Kiel Week, taking place every year on its last Saturday. It's a spectacular gathering of nearly all the sailing ships from around Kiel. This year is particularly special as the sailing training ship, Gerh Fock, will lead the parade for the first time in many years.

You have seen the Windjammers now on San Francisco Bay we have the Master Mariners Benevolent Association Regatta. Every year the Master Mariners Benevolent Association. organizes a regatta where classic sailboats, designed or built before 1937, come out to race on San Francisco Bay. This year more than 60 boats came out to sail, and yes, race!

British Imoca 60 sailor, Pip Hare of Medallia,has her boats broken down into pieces for checking before her "Leggo" project of putting all the pieces back together starts before the race commencement in November.
It's a huge job but one needed as she will be sailing alone, unassisted, around the world. Good luck Pip, we'll be following you on the "World on Water."

iQFoil is a windsurfing class selected by World Sailing to replace the R S X for the 2024 Summer Olympics. The discipline has similarities to Formula Windsurfing, however a notable difference is that sailors only use one sail. The sail size is 9 metre 2 for the men and 8 metre 2 for the women.
