In Split Symbol games, premium symbols can count as two when they appear as a split symbol. This also allows for a line hit of up to 10 symbols in total instead of the usual 5. Shadow of the Panther also employs the "Super Stacks' feature where at the beginning of each spin, certain sections of each reel are replaced with one randomly chosen symbol, which can be any symbol with the exception of the bonus symbol. What this means is that it becomes easier to "Fill the Screen" with the particular symbol that was chosen!

The bonus is triggered by landing at least 5 bonus symbols, which themselves can be split symbols and they appear on reels 1 thru 4 only. Landing 8, 7, 6, or 5 bonus symbols triggers 15, 10, 7, or 5 free games respectively. During the bonus, premium symbols in their split symbol form only appear and are used in the "Super Stacks" feature to give you more of an edge as the consequence of this is that bigger wins are more likely, but certainly not guaranteed.
