1990 Cork 20 Rally

The 1990 Cork 20 Rally boasted a strong Entry with a lot of Top Crews making the Trip to Cork including Bertie Fisher and Austin McHale in BMW M3s,Bill Connolly in a Manta 400,Kenny McKinstry in a Sierra Cosworth,John Price and his Metro 6R4,and Donie Keating in his Ascona 400 amongst others,2 days of Tough Rallying was the order of the day in typical changeable weather conditions and in the end there were quite a few retirements over the 2 day Event but Austin McHale kept it all together to take the win from Bill Connolly in the Manta who in turn had a close dice with Donie Keating in his older Opel Ascona to keep Donie in third position at the finish,CVS did a Programme for RTE at the time and we would like to thank both them and Pat Sullivan Carrignavar for the use of this Footage,Enjoy.
