Tana river and Lamu counties are set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Counties living along the River Tana basin to safeguard the region’s wetlands. The two counties normally bear the brunt of floods caused by water released from dams and are also affected by pollution caused by industries set up upstream that pour waste along River Tana, which flows downstream.
