This video will describe the tram system of Brno, the second-largest city in Czechia. Brno has an amazing tram system, with very frequent service, high ridership, and a diverse fleet of Czech-produced trams. The trams have become a beloved part of the city, with the locals giving it the nickname Šalina, a word that likely derived from the German language, as Brno used to be part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire when the trams made their first appearance. The most recent additions to the system are the shiny new Škoda 45T, Pragoimex EVO2 and the new metro-like section to Nemocnice Bohunice.
