The ISHRS 2022 Practice Census is now available!
Some notable trends:
-More than 2.2 million hair restoration patients were treated in 2021. This is a 7% increase since 2019
-37% of ISHRS members reported an increase in transgender hair transplants in 2021
-Body hair transplantation remains popular
● Among women, after scalp, eyebrow transplantation accounted for 11% of surgical procedures
● Among men, after scalp, moustaches/beards accounted for 4% of surgical procedures
-55.6% of ISHRS members who performed webcam consults felt that in-person consults were more effective
-51% of ISHRS members reported there are Black Market hair transplants in their cities
