The House of the Ladies is an ancient multi-storied and free standing building in ancient Akrotiri that is believed to be the home of a wealthy person. Having survived the earthquakes and volcanic eruption on Thera, the house later was heavily damaged by torrents of water that flowed through the ancient city of Akrotiri prior to the excavation. We will tour the building's layout, architecture, and finds. This includes the only light well found in Akrotiri and the frescoes of the Room of the Ladies.
