Sashiko Stitch with a Brother Sewing Machine

Learn how you can make your Brother Sewing Machine sew the Sashiko stitch!
This is stitch 39, with the needle in position 3.5 (which is centered).
Use a monofilament thread on the top and whatever color you want to show in the bobbin.

The stitch I am using is called the Hand-Look quilting stitch. Here's a quick run down of how it works:
The Hand-Look Quilting Stitch is used to create the look of hand-sewn running stitches. The top of the machine is threaded with either an invisible thread or a thread color that matches the top fabric. The bobbin is thread actually appears on the top side of the fabric as “running stitches”, so the bobbin is threaded with a thread color that is desired for the stitching that appears on the top side of the project.

On some machines it looks like 3 stitches side by side, followed by a single stitch and then 3 stitches side by side again. The blog post has a visual example of it.

If you search your machine and model followed by hand-look quilting stitch, you may find your sewing machine has the stitch!

It was a lot easier than I thought! It turned out great.
It's not as consistent in the stitch as a Babyloc Sashiko Machine, but I'm pleasantly surprised!
