Powi refutes claims

Southern Highlands Governor William Powi, has refuted the claim that K16 million is alleged to have been paid in 2016 for the design and construction of the Three-Storey Seat of Good Governance Building in Mendi.

Governor Powi said funding was released for the several projects with some having been completed while others yet to begin.

He said much of the delay to the projects was due to the law and order issues in Mendi and the 2018 Earthquake in the Highlands.

Powi made the comments in response to allegations raised by a local landowner and businessman.
