Savanna Mighty Marching Band and Colorguard

On Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Glover Stadium, the Savanna Band & Colorguard hosted 35 high school bands from all over southern California for the 40th Annual Savanna Field Tournament. The Savanna Tournament has become one of the PREMIERE events in southern California and saw a crowd of approximately 9,000 people made up of band members, friends, and family. It is the single largest event at Glover Stadium each year, including the AUHSD graduation ceremonies. Our tournament is the final date to receive a qualifying score for the southern California Marching Band Championships so…after 14 hours of serving food, cleaning, selling programs, managing parking, and being amazing hosts, the Rebels took to the field at 9:30PM and gave an electrifying performance. Their score of 90.4 ranked them 7th overall in southern California in the 6A division, which is the top classification for bands. It is Savanna's highest end of regular-season ranking in 7 years and qualified them for Championships for a 15th consecutive year. That total is unmatched by any school in Orange, San Diego, and Los Angeles Counties. Way to go Mighty Marching Rebels and best of luck at Championships!
