A good friend of this channel just sent me these uncut video clips of the severe rains and swelling Medellín river from last night - April 5 2021. Starting at the metro station ramp leading out of Itagüí station you can see the incredibly heavy rains but it is the clips of the swelling Medellín River that captured my attention. The flooding waters are staying in the river's pathway but the waves are many feet higher than the roadways running along side.

The Medellín River flows through the heart of the Aburrá Valley. The region is made up of ten municipalities with Medellín being the largest and most important. Itagüí is just south of Medellín. Aburrá Valley is the second largest populated metropolitan area in Colombia.
