In this video I will show you how to connect to an SSH client terminal using Bitvise for a connection to a GoDaddy hosting server. This video will show you how to perform a file transfer from a GoDaddy server to a desktop or computer. Follow these steps:

1) Download Bitvise SSH Client

2) Go to bitvise.com

3) On the download page, click “Download Bitvise SSH Client (Tunnelier)”

4) After you are done installing, launch the program

5) You will need the following information:
a. Your Host
b. Port #
c. Username
d. Password

6) Go to GoDaddy.com & Login

7) Click on the green “Manage” button for the hosting account you are connecting to


8) The port number for SSH access it always “22”

9) The password is your cPanel password, if you do not know it, you can reset it by clicking “cPanel Hosting”  “Hosting”  “Settings”  “Password”  and then entering in a new password

10) Make sure you enable SSH Access in the GoDaddy cPanel

10) Once you have all the information, enter it in Bitvise, and click “Login”
