The rain (Holy Spirit) is given for the purpose of the harvest

IV. The Four Horsemen
A. White horse = Victorious Christ through the Gospel (Rev. 6: 1–2 [compare Ps. 45: 2–5])
B. Three successive forms of judgment (Rev. 6: 3–8)
1. Red horse = bloodshed
2. Black horse = scarcity and famine
3. Pale horse = widespread death
C. Each time, the order for the judgment to come issues from heaven
D. The white horse must keep ahead
