Custom OT Banjo From Gold Tone for Nylgut strings

Today I took delivery on a custom Old Time Nylgut banjo from Wayne Rogers and Gold Tone down in Florida . We are using an OT6 neck at 1 and 9/16th at the nut and a zero fret .It is a nice wide neck for Nylgut strings . The banjo came with Nylon strings and a modern bridge ..I will be changing those very soon for the softer sound of Nylgut strings and a higher wider bridge for more percussive attack .. I really like this 12 inch pot and the balance of the Bill Rickard Dobson tone ring for giving a more focused sound … Let me know what you think ..Thanks to Chris at GT for building this banjo … If you are interested in one of these contact Gold Tone and any questions on the banjo just let me know ..
