In this episode, we are looking at the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking with tongues. We will show what the Scriptures say and give insight from Smith Wigglesworth along with his personal testimony. Smith Wigglesworth had been actively involved in the healing ministry when he heard about the Pentecostal revival meeting occurring at All Saints in Sunderland with A. A Boddy. Smith went with a prejudiced heart but ended up receiving the Baptism and becoming a leader in the early Pentecostal movement. He traveled the world leading many to the Lord and seeing people healed of all kinds of diseases.


Smith, was an uneducated man and the only book he ever read was the Bible. In fact, he read it all the time and new it from memory. Even today, he is revered by theologians and his messages provide great depth and wisdom.


We will also share the testimony Smith wrote to A. A. Boddy on what happened to him at All Saints that Fall/ Autumn of 1906. Smith was so radically changed that everyone that knew him saw how much he was changed. He was never able to get up into the pulpit and preach but afterwards he preached all the time.
