A local golf club is offering discounted rates to couples left scrambling after a wedding venue abruptly closed, leaving many without deposits or a place to say "I do."

Mark Yarotskiy and his fiancé are among numerous couples who lost thousands of dollars after booking with Champagne Manor in Union County. The venue's owner, Jason Lottman, lost the building in a foreclosure and has become unreachable, according to affected customers.

"He was lying to our face," Yarotskiy said. "No one is able to reach him anymore. We are out of money and time."

Yarotskiy said they booked the venue after being offered a same-day deal.
