Trump names Pam Bondi as attorney general after Matt Gaetz withdraws

Donald Trump ally Matt Gaetz has withdrawn his name from consideration to be the next US attorney general.

Within hours, Mr Trump confirmed his replacement is long-time ally Pam Bondi, who was one of his lawyers at his first impeachment trial.
