How To: Repair a Life-Size Gemmy Santa or Snowman with a rubber-band! (sold by Wal-Mart)

Описание к видео How To: Repair a Life-Size Gemmy Santa or Snowman with a rubber-band! (sold by Wal-Mart)

Someone threw both these guys by the side of the road to be hauled away with the trash. Repaired both using only a rubber-band! See below for a link to something that might work better/longer (I could not find the belt from the mfgr). You can easily repair it at home, COMMENT below if you do! In this video, I'll show you how. This technique may also work with other models as well. May want to try a thicker rubber band than the one I used here for greater traction (same concept though).

These animated characters can often be found at Wal-Mart, Amazon or ebay and are manufactured by Gemmy. The belts that turn the motors, which makes it move, tend to wear out. I threw a Santa out myself about 4 years ago (before I started trying to fix things myself).

If you're in need of a power supply for either, this one worked for me (Note: it's a 12v, not a 9v supply that I had available):

*Note: One viewer mentioned trying this set of belts. If you can find the Mfgr. recommended belts, which I could not, always use them above anything you see here. Installation procedure in this video would be the same :
