The Rat Pack was the group of singers -- crooners -- from the world of the 40s and 50s, namely Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Joey Bishop, and Peter Lawford, who loved to get together (sometimes at the residence of Humphrey Bogart) to collaborate on records or just shoot the shoot. Of course, sometimes this friendship manifested in the growing predilection of all of them -- filmmaking. Even, as one started acting, the rest joined, and they all found their way into each other's stuff. OCEAN'S 11, made popular by its 2001 remake from Steven Soderbergh, was the grandest occasion of this, where all five founding members shared the screen, as five of the titular eleven. They work out a heist, but the fun is more in the Them Hanging Out, which manifests significantly on camera. I ultimately prefer the reboot, but it's a pretty fun time regardless. E-O-Eleven, baby!
