Breville 870XL Water Pump / Safety Valve Test

Testing the old and new water pumps and safety valves for the Breville Barista Express (BES-870XL).

It appears the old pump has a slightly lower pressure output judging by how far is shoots water. But it seems that the old safety or over pressure valve (OPV) might be leaking. The new valve on the new pump had no water coming out of it, but the old valve was dripping water even under low pressure operation.

Stay tuned and we'll see if we can rig up something to allow connecting a pressure gauge to the pump/valve setup and see if we can get some hard data to look at
