9/10 For me.

I particularly enjoyed the final boss battles, the battle with Wong Tou (Goat music and dynamic introduction), Sawashiro vs. Kiryu, and Majima/Saejima/Daigo (incredibly fun), the battles against yamai, narasaki intro and battle.
Additionally, I appreciated the new characters, minigames and jobs, which were significant improvements compared to Yakuza 7.
Kiryu's chapters took me back in time. As I reviewed his memories, I remembered when I first started playing the game.
When I started the series I was a kid, 17/18 years have passed since that day.
I admit that not seeing him at full strength isn't ideal during some fights in this game, However, even in his state of fragility and suffering, I still enjoyed his character and the other characters during his arc.
I finally found out the identity of Chau Ka Long, but I don't like the fact that characters from 3 return even after fatal injuries like head shots or whatever, it's like the developers forgot the plot of YK3, lol. We're almost at the same level as when Kiryu or his comrades leaving the gun on the ground without finishing off the villain who kills someone out of revenge.
Also, Wong tou was such a wasted character. The dynamic intro is wonderful, he even blocking and dodging Kiryu's and Ichban's attacks with ease. At least the developers remembered his son in the final chapter.
i like the ending, except i don't like the Eiji development. He disappeared after chapter 11/12 and he looking homeless, what's happened in that time frame? perhaps it will be explained in the next chapter.
Anyway, Let's hope well for the future.
