Bitubo issues on TL1000S

Here is the funny thing. We just rebuilt it on the weekend.

It's a bitubo aftermarket. Fucked up little set up.

It's a tiny shock with a rebound stack adjuster at the bottom, and a remote reservoir tucked in at 90 degress between the two cylinders with a adjuster on it.
In order to remove the shock without breaking/bending the ss line that connects it, I had to disconnect it (line and reservoir) to get it out.
When we were putting the shock back together, we made it so it's easier to get back in to place. Placed the line in such a way that it may go back in undisturbed.
The bike was 150km away so we had to use the force!
No such luck. I had to slowly put it back in, and had to crack both banjo bolts in order to get it to sit in place. Worse yet the shock is behind the frame, so getting at the 13mm banjo's was a TPITA!
Of course a bit of oil came out, and likely the gap is now replaced with a pocket of air, or the nitrogen is not holding, or has slop against the snap ring.

moving the rebound adjuster to full stiff slows it down a bit, but it's still a bouncy piece of shit.
That and the fact that the ss line leaks at the flanges (past the actual fitting, starting at the ss bit)

The only thing I can think of is to extend the ss line so the connections don't have to be touched. Basically make it longer and put it in a spot that it's actually serviceable.
