Citrine and I started working on this song back in November, to show our appreciation for a furry YouTuber we both enjoy. And now it's finished! My first attempt at making surf rock, and I'm pretty pleased with the result. Enjoy!

To answer the big question now: no, Beta did not commission me or ask me to make this song. He doesn't even know we're doing this.

I got the idea for this song many months ago, when I started really getting into Beta's videos. Every time I would see his name, or watch his videos, I would say his name in a kind of sing-songy voice: "Beta-Eta-DeloooTA!" It just made sense to me, rhythmically. But then, I started thinking "okay, what kind of music would go with this?" And I started coming up with melodies and key signatures, until the idea converged around a surf rock song. Because beach vibes. #StayLifejacket

And I had this idea for a high, grittier vocal. Something reminiscent of the Doobie Brothers or Journey. I personally can't sing that high, so I started thinking about who would fit that bill. And then it hit me: Citrine Husky. He would be PERFECT for this song! So I reached out, and we set up our little collaboration: he would sing for my Beta song, and I would remix his song "Dance." And the rest is history.

It's also fitting that this song is going to be released right as Beta reaches 100,000 subs on YouTube. Congratulations, Beta!
