Steve & Bucky AU | I carved him out of my heart

The story was inspired by this quote from Kings: I carved him out of my heart because that's what dad wanted.

Story:
Bucky's father makes an ultimatum. If he wants to take his place he has to break up with Steve and marry a woman. Bucky bends under the pressure of his father wishes but it kills him inside to be apart from Steve who is also having a hard time with the break up. When Bucky learns that Steve had a serious car accident he realises that Steve was the best thing that happened to his life. Fearing that Steve will not make it he decides to take his life. Bucky's father apologises to him for trying to change him. When Steve learns about the suicide attempt watching the news. He calls Bucky, they meet and both declare that they are still in love with the other.
