How To Change Engine Oil On Toyota Highlander 3.5L V6 Full Guide
This is the ultimate full guide video on how to change engine oil and filter on the 2012 Toyota Highlander V6 3.5L engine.
Changing the engine oil in your Toyota Highlander is a crucial part of routine maintenance that should be performed regularly to keep your vehicle running smoothly. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to change the engine oil in a Toyota Highlander with a 3.5L V6 engine:

Materials Required:

New engine oil (refer to owner's manual for recommended viscosity and capacity)
New oil filter (make sure it's compatible with your Highlander's engine)
Drain pan
Oil filter wrench
Oil filter drain tool
Socket wrench or box-end wrench
Funnel
Clean rags or paper towels
Jack and jack stands or ramps (if needed)
Wheel chocks

Steps:

Park on a level surface and turn off the engine.
Open the hood and remove the oil filler cap.
Raise the vehicle and locate the oil drain plug underneath the engine.
Position a drain pan underneath the drain plug and loosen the plug to allow the old oil to drain.
Locate the oil filter and use an oil filter wrench to remove it.
Clean the mounting surface of the oil filter and install a new oil filter.
Reinstall the oil drain plug and pour in the new engine oil through the oil filler opening.
Start the engine and check the oil pressure gauge or oil level indicator.
Lower the vehicle and dispose of the old oil and filter properly

Resetting Maintenance Light on Toyota Highlander
If you’d rather reset the Toyota Highlander maintenance required light from home, just use the following steps to do so:

~~~ Put your key in the ignition and turn it to position one (the first setting before actually starting the car).
Quickly push and hold the odometer button on your dashboard, then turn your key to position two.
Continue to hold the odometer button for about 10 seconds. The maintenance light should start to flash, and you may hear a beeping sound. Then the light should go out.
Once the maintenance light is off, let go of the odometer button and turn the key to start your car. The light should be off once your Highlander starts. If it’s still on, repeat this process once or twice more to turn off the maintenance light on the Toyota Highlander. ~~~
