2024 turned out to be a tough year for my tench fishing. I didn't fish as much as would have liked and I jumped around from venue to venue whilst also being involved in a number of Tenchfisher events, including fishing the National Tench Championships and organising the Angling Trust Tench Masterclass on my local club lake.

To make things worse, when I did manage to fish for Tench, I was pestered with carp. The only really memorable meeting with a tinca this season came in the form of a lovely big male tench that I caught on one of the Tenchfisher events.that I attended.

A season to forget and time to return to the rivers...
