Minelab Manticore (My First Time Using The [M8 Coil])

Описание к видео Minelab Manticore (My First Time Using The [M8 Coil])

Come along with me on my first metal detecting adventure in a very long time. As many of you may know, I’ve had some personal challenges to deal with off and on for a couple of years that have kept me away from the hobby I love. Well, folks, I’ve buckled down and made huge improvements to my overall health thanks to the right foods, herbs and habits. It’s looking like I’ll be able to get back into the full swing of detecting very soon. I do have to do a lot of work to settle mom’s estate and some other stuff I’ve gotten behind on but I see lots of great discoveries in my future. Of course, I’ll take you along with me via video when I can.

Today, I decided to detect a couple of old house sites that I have detected several times before with many different metal detectors and coils. This first one is a house that probably goes back to the 60’s but it’s very close to a Confederate camp site so anything is possible. You’ll have to bear with me as I relearn how to detect, make and edit videos, etc.

I was using the Minelab Manticore with the M8 (8” x 5.5”) coil. My First Time Using The [M8 Coil]. My goal for today was to see how the Manticore metal detector with the small M8 coil would do in an iron/aluminum infested site. Over the years, I feel I found all the targets with the exception of some of the aluminum can slaw. So, my goal was just to look for non-ferrous targets of any kind. I did expect to dig a few iron targets; especially larger ones as I like to find old axe heads, etc.

I just used the stock All-Terrain program without making any major changes. After all my main goal was actually just to get back out and do some metal detecting. It felt funny at times talking to myself to make the videos. Sometimes I feel that if the right person heard me, they put me in a straight-jacket.

Don’t expect any worthwhile relic discoveries on this video because there are not any. I did find enough to convince me that the Minelab Manticore metal detector is going to be an amazing machine to use in trashy environments; especially with the M8 coil. I only detected for about an hour and then went to another site.

I hope you enjoy being with me on these metal detecting adventures and that you will keep following me on YouTube and Facebook. Together, we can Save a lot of Local History.

I would like to thank all of you who watch my videos and I'd like to encourage you to subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven't done so already. It's free and it helps me to stay motivated to keep making the videos.

I hope you enjoy the video and that you will share it with others.

“Saving Local History is always a worthwhile endeavor.”
