If you found lots of oil in your car or truck's engine compartment, or a large oil leak underneath, you might expect it to be a result of a rear main seal, or valve covers! In this video, Sue shows you one other likely source of oil leaks for many vehicles. For many cars and trucks, like the Jeep in this video, the oil filter housing is the culprit! For any vehicles that use a cartridge style oil filter, gaskets and seals between the oil filter housing and engine block can flatten out and leak as the vehicle ages; especially 3.6L Chrysler engines!
