MY SOLO DRIVE TO THE RED ZONE OF UGANDA: 2KM AWAY FROM THE VIRUNGA NATIONAL PARK |S3EP15|

I'm officially leaving Bwindi Forest National Park with Rafiki my Toyota Hilux. The plan is to reach the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo by the end of the day. The drive is off-road, challenging, and I'm very happy to be driving a 4x4 well kitted, in 4WD only. The rainy season doesn't make it easier at all, but I like it. Although, will I make it? The area I want to camp in is considered 'red zone' where many conflicts engaging killings and a real war between rangers, poachers, and the local populations are taking place. Military men will assure my own safety. Let's hope for the best.
