A report from the office of the Public Protector has found that the appropriate procurement and supply process was never followed during the construction of the Mayibuye Primary School in Gauteng. The investigation came after a complaint by BOSA leader, Mmusi Maimane in 2020, alleging that the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development constructed the school on an old sewer line and without conducting a wetland study. Aldrin Sampear speaks to Public protector Advocate Kholeka Gcaleka on these findings.
