I mean, why not add tie on pockets to every skirt?
I used vintage Vogue pattern 7444 (with some alterations) to make a modern linen twirly skirt, and added a matching pair of tie on pockets based on examples from the 18th century.

The book I reference is Patterns of Fashion 1 by Janet Arnold.
