Marmalade x Listening Room: D’Angelo Jam : “So Far To Go” by J Dilla, Common, D’Angelo

Davie Studios Presents: Marmalade x Listening Room D’Angelo Jam.

Both Marmalade and Listening Room are two jam series that exist in Toronto, ON. Marmalade, “a kind of jam”, brings together musicians from the jazz community and beyond to support different causes. Listening Room is a jam series inspired by the Soulaquarians process music creation. On Wednesday, June 28th, 2023, Davie Studios hosted both house bands for one big night of jamming to D’Angelo, Listening Room style.

Many thanks to this incredible house band of: Darryl Joseph-Dennie (keys), Omar Martin (guitar), Daniel Genus (drums), Jack Johnston (bass), Jen Lo (keys), Zander Miller (alto saxophone), David Hodgson (tenor saxophone), Yansi Alexavier (trumpet) and Roshane Wright (percussions). Not pictured in this jam, but also apart of the house band: Isaiah Gibbons (drums), and Malik Mungo (guitar). Special thanks to Adrian Edwards who was our sound technician for the evening.
