I saw the beauty and the blemishes, I saw perfection and imperfection, I saw memories waxing and waning against a the backdrop of a million flickering scenes from a million miraculous lives. I saw the joy in a mundane act and I saw the ecstasy in the catharsis of a shared love.

I caught a glimpse of my own curious eye peering into the abyss, its flecked iris curved around space and time. I should have felt alone, isolated in my search for meaning. But strangely, all I felt was the overwhelming presence of an unnamed love, a string of connections laced over the top of a cosmic spiderweb. I mouthed the words: Thank you, Universe."
