First, if you just want to learn about a specific plan and don’t want to watch this whole thing, i’ve put time codes in the description and right here so you can jump right to the plans you want to learn about.

T-Mobile Connect:
You have two options with Connect… both come with unlimited talk and text, and you can choose between 2GB and 5GB data options at $15 and $25 per month. Now you can find slightly cheaper deals with smaller carriers, however you don’t get the perks that come along with a name brand carrier, MAINLY prioritized data. Meaning you won’t have data slowed as much compared to other carriers when the network is busy. Another perk from these plans is that your data increases every year by ½ a gig for five years and you’ll keep the same price.

These plans are perfect for people who don’t need a lot of data, OR for people who want to limit data usage. I'm thinking this would be great as a pre-teen/teen plan if parents out there don’t want their kids spending too much time on tiktok and instagram OR if you’re someone who commonly utilizes WiFi. This plan might also be great for grandparents who don’t need a lot of data in the first place. I’m thinking about my grandpa Joe who mostly stays at home, but might want to use “the google” occasionally.

Simply Prepaid
Next i’m going over T-Mobile’s simply prepaid plans… while still prepaid these plans are slightly more customizable than Connect allowing you addons like using your plan abroad, and international calling.
There are three plans with Simply Prepaid… 10GB plan for $40/month, Simply Unlimited for $50, and Simply Unlimited Plus for $60/Month.
With the 10GB plan, after you use your allotted amount of data, your speeds will be slowed down dramatically. Honestly, i don’t totally recommend this plan to anyone because the next plan, simply unlimited is unlimited and only $10 more.
Simply Prepaid Unlimited allows you unlimited data… though after 50GB your speeds may be slowed during times of congestion. You can use a hotspot but speeds will be limited to 3G which would allow you to stream music or stream at SD quality.
I recommend Simply Unlimited for anyone looking for a well priced unlimited plan! It doesn’t have many bells and whistles, but it does the basics really well.

Simply Prepaid Unlimited Plus:
The main difference between plus and basic unlimited is that you get 10GB of high-speed spot use before speeds are reduced to 3G.
Because you don’t get much more with Unlimited Plus, I recommend T-Mobile’s Simply Unlimited over the others because it’s well priced and gives you everything you need.

Essentials, Magenta, & Magenta Plus:
Really quickly want to mention i do NOT recommend Essentials, although it’s unlimited i would go with Simply Prepaid Unlimited because with essentials, although you get unlimited data there is some sneaky fine print that basically says even before you use 50GB, Essentials customers will notice slower speeds… PLUS it’s $60/month. So you’re better off saving $10 and going with Simply Unlimited. With Essentials though you do get access to T-Mobile Tuesdays which will give you free products and discounted services.

The next plan is Magenta for $70/month. With this plan taxes and fees are included which means there won’t be any hidden or surprise fees. Plus you get 3GB of high-speed hotspot. After 50GB, your data speeds may slow down when the network is busy. Magenta also gives great travel perks like free data in other countries (at 2G speeds) and free inflight wifi and texting on eligible flights.
This plan is for anybody who needs unlimited data and just a little bit of a hotspot. If you need more hotspot, you can go with Simply Unlimited Plus which gives you 10GB OR you can go with Magenta Plus, which is the final plan i’m covering.

Magenta Plus is the most expensive plan T-Mobile offers at $85/month. The best selling points from this plan are that taxes and fees are included, AND you get a 20GB high-speed hotspot allotment. Magenta Plus is also great for travelers, you get free international texting, free international data at 2G speeds, unlimited talk and text in mexico and canada plus inflight texting and wifi on eligible flights.
If you’re someone who finds themself needing a hotspot multiple times a month, this is the T-Mobile plan for you. Plus with the additional travel benefits you’ll almost never have to worry about service.
