Economic reconciliation is very important for Canada’s indigenous peoples, and the rest of the country. The Reconciliation on Bay Street is a step towards reconciling the imbalance that has been caused by colonization.

On December 5, 2018, The Business School featured a screening of Reconciliation on Bay Street, which was followed by an interactive discussion from our panel of accomplished indigenous business leaders. Reconciliation on Bay Street is the first ever film on economic reconciliation in Canada. The short film features Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders sharing their insights, opportunities and a hopeful glimpse at a respectful and prosperous future. This event drew focus to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Call to Action #92, which calls on corporate Canada to adopt the principles of reconciliation. Speakers discussed insights into career paths, indigenous business practices, commercial success, partnership and community economic development.
